Festival Videography

Capturing the Energy of Live Events

From boutique local events to multi-day festivals — EJG Films is on the ground capturing every moment.

What We Offer Festivals

Festivals are electric — and great video content should be too. EJG Films specialises in dynamic, high-energy coverage that captures the full atmosphere of your event — from the main stage to the crowd, the vendors to the volunteers — shooting creatively and efficiently, getting in the midst of the action to find the shot that brings it all to life.

Whether you're after a short social media highlight reel, a full event recap, or individual artist and performance clips, we'll work with you before the event to understand your vision and build toward a finished product you're proud of. Based in Brisbane and available to travel, EJG Films has covered events of all scales — get in touch to discuss your festival.

Your Festival, Your Way

Every festival is different, and your video content should reflect that. Mix and match from the offerings below to build coverage that suits your event, your audience, and your goals.

Social Media Content

Scroll-stopping content shot and cut specifically for your festival's channels. Designed to drive engagement, build excitement, and keep your audience in the moment.

Event Recaps

A cinematic highlight film that captures the full energy and atmosphere of your event. The kind of content that makes attendees relive it and has everyone else counting down to next year.

Performer Interviews

Candid, on-the-ground interviews with your performers, before they hit the stage, fresh off it, or both. A great way to add depth and personality to your festival's story.

Vox Pops

Short, punchy attendee interviews captured on the ground. Real voices and real reactions at the heart of your content.

Same Day Edits

Edited and delivered while the festival is still happening. Fast-turnaround content designed to drive engagement in real time and pull more people through the gates.

Band & Artist Content

Dedicated coverage for performers who want their own footage from the day. Professionally shot and edited content they can walk away with and use however they choose.

Whatever combination you choose, great video content does more than capture the moment — it becomes a powerful tool for building excitement around your next event and keeping your community engaged long after the gates close.

Case Study

Big AMP 2026

Big AMP was a live music festival run by the Griffith University Gold Coast Student Guild in May 2026, featuring bands and a DJ on the main stage alongside rides and food trucks. EJG Films was brought on to capture the full energy and atmosphere of the day, delivering both a same day social media reel — turned around and published while the festival was still in full swing — and the longer recap film featured here.

The coverage took a deliberately people-focused approach, blending candid crowd reactions and genuine moments of atmosphere with live performance footage and a handful of prompted interactions — encouraging people to engage with the camera and let their energy speak for itself. A combination of gimbal and handheld shooting kept the footage feeling alive and immediate — dynamic enough to match the energy of the event while staying grounded in the real experience of being there.

Forest Lake Community Festival 2025

The Forest Lake Community Festival is a free community event bringing together live music, market stalls, fire performances, and local community spirit. EJG Films was engaged by the festival organisers to produce two social media videos from the day — a same day reel capturing the energy of the first half, and the fuller recap featured here, which focuses on the live performances and atmosphere of the second half. The result is a warm, community-focused piece that captures the inclusive, grassroots energy that makes events like this special.

Case Study

Valley 4 Valley 2025 — Gimme More

Valley 4 Valley was a charitable live music event raising money for Wesley Mission Queensland. EJG Films produced two videos from the day — an event recap and this dedicated piece for the Rutherford Jazz Trio, which serves as a strong example of what can be achieved for a performer in a festival setting. Shot across a single live performance of the song using one camera and one operator, the final video achieves a dynamic multicam look by stitching together footage from multiple moments throughout the performance. The audio was synced to the band's demo recording in post, resulting in a polished final product that goes well beyond what the single-camera shoot might suggest.

Festival FAQs

Absolutely. Travel outside of Brisbane is available and will incur additional costs based on travel time, with further costs added if overnight accommodation is required.

Coverage can be arranged either by the hour or as a project quote. Project quotes are calculated based on estimated time requirements and need a firm scope to put together — complexity, length, and the number of final deliverables all play a significant role. Visit our pricing page for more details.

The most important thing is a clear end goal for the content — what you want to do with it and how you want it to feel. Schedules are also really helpful, along with any other information that might inform how we approach filming.

Generally not, unless there's a specific reason one would be helpful. Most festivals can be planned effectively without one.

It depends on the event. When working solo, it's a matter of prioritising and splitting time effectively. If it's important to capture simultaneous performances, additional crew can be discussed — though this will significantly increase the overall cost.

Generally one, unless the scope of the project calls for more — in which case that can be arranged.

It varies based on the event and what's actually needed. Where audio is required, we select from a range of tools to achieve the best result, and will often request a direct feed from the audio mixer. In many cases audio isn't recorded at all as it simply isn't required — it's always handled on a case by case basis.

The goal is always to have same day content delivered while the festival is still in full swing. We typically take advantage of slower starts to capture initial content and get it delivered before things get busy.

We do our best to keep filming in wet conditions, but steps must be taken to protect equipment from the rain. Where shelter is available we'll do our best to film from there — if not, we may need to pause coverage until conditions improve.

The most helpful thing you can provide is a secure, sheltered location where equipment can be stored safely — ideally with a table and chairs. This gives us a base for equipment storage, same day editing, and footage review. It's not mandatory, but having it available can reduce costs, improve turnaround times, and lead to a better end result.

Videos are generally delivered as MP4s encoded in H.264, though other formats are available on request. Horizontal video is finished in 4K and vertical in Full HD. Everything is delivered online, typically as a ZIP file. Fully processed footage is also available upon request.

Absolutely. Supply us with your logo — preferably animated — along with any other brand materials and we'll incorporate them into the final product.

EJG Films retains ownership of the footage and will store it for a minimum of 12 months in case it's needed down the track. You're welcome to use the final content in any way you choose to market your event. The one restriction is that the files may not be supplied to third parties — such as performers or vendors — for them to use to market themselves separately, as that content may be available for purchase directly through EJG Films. This does not affect social media collaboration — inviting others to collaborate on a post is absolutely fine, so long as your account is the original poster.

Yes — unless otherwise negotiated, they'll need to purchase it directly through EJG Films rather than through the festival organiser, in keeping with the usage agreement.
